From Concept to Reality
When initially presented with Arms Dealer, it was a conceptual video game that Jason had envisioned several years prior. He had explained the concept and coded a basic version to test with friends. During these early tests, we identified some pain points in the game mechanics and the overall game loop.
Leveling Up the Game
To address these issues, we embarked on a journey of collaboration with testers to enhance the game. Our goal was to create an intuitive, enjoyable, and user-friendly experience. We worked closely with individuals who were not familiar with the game to identify pain points and areas where onboarding was necessary. We conducted multiple iterations of quick wireframes until we achieved a high-fidelity design level. Additionally, we established a comprehensive design system and crafted illustrations for over 200 in-game items.
From Mockups to Marketing
Upon completion, we delivered a full-fledged design system that encompassed all aspects of the game's design, including mockups and interactive elements. We also provided marketing collateral to support the game's launch and promotion.
A key deliverable was a seamless checkout system that allowed users to access previous purchases, discounts, and other perks.
The meticulous website redesign efforts paid off as Glass Alchemy successfully achieved a more cohesive and user-friendly online platform. This transformation resulted in a fantastic user experience (UX) that resonated with customers, leading to a significant increase in sales and repeat purchases.
Alienware Partnership and Community Building
Arms Dealer was exceptionally well-received by the gaming community. We were able to secure a partnership with Alienware, which enabled us to distribute beta codes to over a thousand users, significantly increasing the game's exposure and popularity.
